The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has commented on Egypt’s decision to refuse to participate in the creation of a «Middle Eastern strategic alliance», better known as the «Arab NATO», initiated bu the United States.
Al Jazeera reports that Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi stressed out that Tehran supports this decision, and also he noted that Egypt is «an important and strong country that plays an important role not only in the Arab world, but also in the entire Islamic world».
Qasemi also pointed out that «this country plays a key role in stability and security in the region».
