Iran has urged countries in the region to sign a non-aggression pact

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has invited the countries of the Persian Gulf to sign a non-aggression treaty. According to the Telegram channel of the Iranian Government, with this initiative he told at a meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali al-Hakim in Baghdad.

 

 


Zarif has also stressed that he is seeking better relations with the countries of the region and welcomes any proposals to reduce tensions in the Persian Gulf.

 

 


It is alleged that RIA Novosti, citing diplomatic sources, claimed that Iraq, as well as Russia and four other countries, is mediating in resolving the conflict between Washington and Tehran.
