Iran is ready to send medical devices to Russia as aid to fight the coronavirus, Iran's Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali said.
"Iran thanks the Russian Federation its assistance in sending test systems to diagnose the coronavirus. Our departments exchange experience, establish very good contacts, the presidents of our countries have held telephone talks twice, and there have been telephone conversations between Foreign Ministers, via the parliamentary line,"Jalali said during a round table organized by MIA "Russia today".
"We sent an official note to the Russian Federation that we are ready to send medical devices to Russia to fight the coronavirus. Our contacts are very good, " the Ambassador added, noting that the list includes 14 positions.
On March 11, the World Health Organization declared the outbreak of a new COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. According to the latest WHO data, more than 4.5 million cases of infection have been recorded in the world, and more than 307 thousand people died.
