In the nearest future, Iran may withdraw from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). According to Iranian IRNA news agency, the relevant opportunity at the moment is being considered by the country's Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif.

"Iran has many choices, and the authorities are studying them, there are many options for further action, and this is one of them," the Iranian Foreign Ministry claimed, in particular.

It is known that in May last year, the US President Donald Trump announced his withdrawal from the so-called nuclear agreement with Iran and the restoration of all sanctions in force against the Islamic Republic.

The remaining members of the "six" opposed such a move and stated their intention to continue the execution of the agreement and develop measures that will protect the companys from the US sanctions for cooperation with Iran.
