Iran has nothing to do with the February 10 drone attack on an Israeli tanker, according to Reuters. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani said this at a press conference Monday.
"We strongly reject these accusations. Iran is among the countries that strongly support freedom of navigation in international waters," Tasnim quoted him as saying.
On February 17, Reuters reported that a ship belonging to an Israeli owner was attacked in the Arabian Sea. According to the agency's sources, the incident occurred on February 10. According to preliminary reports, it could have been a drone attack.
On February 19, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed at the weekly cabinet meeting that the attack on the oil tanker was carried out by Iran.
