Iran Suggests Accessibility for Hezbollah and Hamas to Purchase Weapons in Ukraine

11 December 2023

In a recent statement, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian asserted that both Hezbollah, the Lebanese Shiite organization, and Hamas, the Palestinian movement, have the capability to illicitly acquire all the weapons they require from Ukraine.

"I want to be absolutely frank with you. We've offered diverse forms of support to Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad, all within the framework of international law and in response to what we view as confronting the occupier (referring to Israel - TASS)," Abdollahian stated at the Doha forum, answering a question about Tehran's support for these organizations.

The Iranian foreign minister claimed, "They can easily obtain weapons from one of the black markets, and Ukraine is a source. Anything can be acquired there without much effort." He also asserted that Hezbollah and Hamas currently have the capability to produce their own weapons.
