Iranian Ambassador to Moscow thinks the United States has no concept of friendship

Iranian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Kazem Jalali said that the United States has no concept of "friendship" with regard to other countries.

"We live today in the world where Americans only see [other countries] in two ways: either as servant and lackey countries or as enemies. They have no other alternative. They [the United States] have no concept of "friend".  We see that in international relations. This is their philosophy," the diplomat said Thursday at the conference "Russia and Iran: Historical Parallels and Interrelationships in the 16th-21st Centuries" at the Russian State University for the Humanities.

"The philosophy of our conflict with the Americans is their unilateralism, their approach of taking unilateral action," he added and recalled sanctions against Iran.

Jalali also stressed that Iran has shown resilience to preserve its sovereignty.
