The people of Iran will not forget the inhumane behavior that Western countries have shown toward the republic by not allowing the country to use its financial resources abroad during the coronavirus pandemic, Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali said Wednesday.
"So many Western countries allocated huge funds, financial resources to fight the coronavirus," the diplomat said at a press conference at the diplomatic mission's residence. - "But they did not allow Iran to use its financial resources that were outside Iran's territory, did not allow Iran to use financial resources in this difficult period," the diplomat said. The ambassador stressed that the Iranian people "will not forget the oppression and displacement that Western countries have done."
"Regarding sanctions, we think that the collective West is using sanctions as a tool against humanity <...>. Many people need medicines, some medical or therapeutic issues. Sanctions are just invading these daily needs in life," the diplomat said when asked about the EU's anti-Iran sanctions.
