Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergey Naryshkin paid a working visit to Tehran. The main point of the agenda was a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Information and Foreign Intelligence Organization of Iran.
According to the press service of the SVR, the parties discussed issues of strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
"Today the head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Sergey Naryshkin finished his working visit to Tehran. The head of the SVR of Russia discussed with the leadership of the Ministry of Information and the organization of Foreign Intelligence of Iran the issues of strengthening cooperation in the fight against international terrorism and countering common threats to the security of Russia and the Islamic Republic of Iran," the SVR message reads in particular.
