On September 2, Russian and Iranian Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Mohammad Javad Zarif, who will be on a working visit to Moscow, will hold talks.
According to Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian MFA, the main topic of the talks will be the situation in the Persian Gulf and the situation around the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian nuclear program.
"It is planned to discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as exchange views on the regional international agenda, including the JCPOA, the situation in the Persian Gulf, as well as other topical issues", - Zakharova said during a traditional briefing at the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The diplomat also noted that Russian-Iranian multifaceted relations are intensively developing.
"We are interested to continue a trusting dialogue with Iranian partners in line with the agreements of the presidents of Russia and Iran, who regularly meet and exchange views", - she concluded.
