Iranian Foreign Minister to Visit Russia on December 5

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian is set to visit Russia to attend the meeting of foreign ministers from the Caspian region on Tuesday. The announcement was made by Nasser Kanani, the official spokesman of the Islamic Republic's foreign ministry.

 

"Iran's foreign minister is set to visit Russia to take part in the meeting of foreign ministers from the Caspian littoral states scheduled to be held in Moscow on Tuesday," stated the foreign ministry spokesman, as reported by the ISNA news agency. Additional details were not provided.

 

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced on November 29 that the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Caspian littoral states is scheduled for December 5 in Moscow, chaired by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan have been invited to participate. Zakharova emphasized that this event initiates a new regular ministerial dialogue established within the mandate agreed upon in Ashgabat in June 2022.
