The Iranian side is trying to speed up the process of reaching an agreement on the nuclear deal, which is possible in case of constructive actions by European countries and the United States, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said on Monday at a press conference following a meeting in Tehran with Irish Foreign and Defense Minister Simon Cauvery.

"If the US and three European countries (Britain, Germany and France - TASS) show a serious attitude to return to full implementation of their obligations under the nuclear deal, reaching a good agreement is possible as soon as possible," IRNA quoted him as saying.

According to the diplomat, if an agreement is reached, "then sanctions are lifted from Tehran, so it is in Iran's interest that this happens tomorrow." "In this regard, we are in a hurry to conclude a good agreement, but <...> it must ensure the rights and national interests of the Iranian people," he added.

On February 8, the eighth round of talks resumed in Vienna after a break to restore the nuclear deal to its original form and bring the US back into the multilateral agreement. The work is being conducted both within the framework of the Joint Commission of Iran and the P5 (Russia, Britain, Germany, China and France) and in the format of separate consultations with the United States without the participation of Tehran, which is not yet ready for a direct dialogue with Washington. The negotiators agreed to speed up the process of working on the draft agreement. It is expected that the eighth round could be the last, since the participants in the consultations are determined to finish the work this month.
