Iran's Acting Foreign Minister Discusses Economic Issues with Russia's Lavrov

Iran's Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, focusing on economic relations and regional issues. According to Kani, the discussion centered on the latest developments in bilateral ties, particularly economic issues.



"We reviewed the current state of our economic relations and other regional and international topics that align with our mutual interests," Kani told reporters.



The Russian Foreign Ministry also released a statement on the meeting, noting that the foreign ministers discussed the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the strengthening of bilateral ties between Moscow and Tehran.



"The situation around the Palestinian-Israeli conflict was thoroughly discussed, with an emphasis on preventing further escalation of tensions in the region and resolving existing contradictions through political and diplomatic means," the statement read.



Additionally, the foreign ministers touched on current issues on the bilateral agenda, with both countries seeking to strengthen their comprehensive strategic partnership.



"The foreign ministers reaffirmed Moscow and Tehran's intention to further deepen their friendly Russian-Iranian relations, which are reaching a qualitatively new level of comprehensive strategic partnership," the statement concluded.
