Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has traveled to Qatar for planned talks with representatives of the Palestinian group Hamas, Iran's Foreign Ministry announced.
"During this visit, a meeting is scheduled with senior figures from the Palestinian Islamic resistance Movement (Hamas) to discuss the latest developments in Palestine," the ministry stated in a message posted on its Telegram channel.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Araghchi will also meet with Qatari leadership to discuss regional issues and bilateral relations.
Earlier, a Hamas delegation held talks in Ankara with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and later traveled to Cairo, where they met with Egypt’s intelligence chief Hassan Mahmoud Rashad and Palestinians deported to Egypt after being released from Israeli jails as part of a prisoner exchange deal with Israel.
