Iran's IRGC Warns Against Unpunished Israeli Threats

07 February

General Abbas Nilforushan, the deputy operations commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Iran's elite military force, has issued a warning that any threats to Iran's interests globally will not remain unaddressed. As reported by Press TV, Nilforushan stated, "We will not allow any action taken by the Israeli regime against our interests anywhere in the world to go unanswered."

According to Nilforushan, Israel is employing a strategy of "gray zone warfare" aimed at undermining Iran's core capabilities, including its nuclear, missile, and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) forces, as well as regional influence. He believes that the primary objective of this strategy is to weaken Iran's power by engaging in intelligence warfare and maintaining high levels of conflict without crossing Iran's established red lines. The general emphasized that Tehran places significant emphasis on intelligence defense to counteract this approach.

Nilforushan also commented on the changing geopolitical landscape, asserting that the unipolar world dominated by the United States is no longer prevalent. Instead, he suggested that major powers such as Russia, China, and Iran have established a new reality where the United States holds little influence. To thwart this shift, he claimed that NATO, the U.S.-led military alliance, is attempting to expand eastward, while Israel seeks to neutralize perceived threats to its security.

This stance echoes the sentiments of IRGC Commander Lieutenant General Hosein Salami, who declared on January 31 that Iran's adversaries have initiated a war against it, but Tehran remains unafraid and will not let US threats pass without response.
