Iraq has declared its readiness to host the upcoming Arab League Summit in Baghdad, according to Iraqi Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Fuad Hussein.
“We are prepared to hold the Arab Summit in Baghdad,” Hussein stated, as quoted by the Iraqi News Agency.
He emphasized the volatile situation in the region, noting that critical and sensitive issues require high-level discussions. “This week, we will be sending out invitations for the Arab Summit in Baghdad," he added.
Earlier this month, Hussein confirmed that the Arab League Summit is scheduled to take place on May 17 in Baghdad. He highlighted that the meeting will focus on "the most pressing issues concerning the Arab world."
