Moscow and Baghdad are working on organizing a visit of Iraqi President Barham Salih and Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi to Russia.

Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov announced it at a reception to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Iraq.

"A rich and trusting political dialogue at the highest and high levels gives a significant impetus to diverse Russian-Iraqi cooperation. Visits of the Iraqi leadership - the Prime Minister and the President of the country, the speaker of the Iraqi Parliament to Russia -  is being arranged," he said, in particular, without naming the preliminary dates of the visit.
