IRGC Hails Hamas-Israel Agreement as a Great Victory for Palestine

16 January

The agreement between the Palestinian movement Hamas and Israel, which includes the release of hostages and the establishment of a ceasefire, represents an undeniable victory for Palestine and a significant defeat for Israel, according to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

In a statement released by the IRGC’s press service, they declared:

“Today, the end of the war and the imposition of a ceasefire on the Zionist regime [referring to Israel — TASS] marks an undeniable and great victory for Palestine and a significant defeat for the monstrous Zionist regime.”

The Iranian military cautioned against potential Israeli violations of the agreement, urging Hamas to remain prepared for “new wars.”

“Expressing solidarity with other participants of the Islamic resistance front in Gaza, admiring the courage of Hezbollah in Lebanon, Ansar Allah in Yemen, and resistance groups in Iraq, we warn against the possibility of the Zionist devil [referring to Israel — TASS] reneging on agreements. We remind all the importance of maintaining readiness to confront new wars and crimes. We look forward to praying in Al-Aqsa Mosque [in Jerusalem] to celebrate the victory of Muslims, a moment that will become the top global news in the near future,” the statement emphasized.

The IRGC noted that the agreement with Hamas could force Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to face “waves of criticism, protests, and internal divisions” within Israeli society.
