Islamic finance and halal industry to be key topics at KazanForum

More than 140 different sessions will be held during the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum". The main topics will be Islamic finance and the halal industry, according to the draft business program submitted to the organizing committee.


"On the example of Tatarstan, we seek to fine-tune practical mechanisms of interaction with Islamic business. Great prospects are opening up in the development of the Islamic economy. In particular, the industry of halal food, halal tourism, halal medicine is developing", said Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.


The business program of the forum will consist of 3–10 sessions. The main topics will be international cooperation, Islamic finance, halal industry, technology, innovation, investment, industry (including shipbuilding, oil, and gas chemistry and machine tools), sustainable development, women's perspective, and logistics.


The forum will include Russia-Turkey, Russia-Indonesia, Russia-Egypt, Russia-Azerbaijan, Russia-Uzbekistan, Russia-Malaysia and Russia-Iran conferences.
