Israel Denies UN Missions Access to Northern Gaza Throughout November

14 November

In November, Israeli authorities denied access or imposed obstacles on all UN humanitarian missions attempting to enter the northern part of the Gaza Strip, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the occupied Palestinian territories.

“OCHA reports that on November 12 and 13, six attempts to deliver vital aid to the besieged northern Gaza were blocked,” stated the organization’s report. According to OCHA, around 75,000 people remain in these areas with dwindling food and water supplies.

“Every attempt by the UN to access these areas to deliver food, water, or medical supplies this month has faced rejection or barriers,” the report noted. The organization also indicated that four additional requests for similar missions have been submitted to Israeli authorities.

Earlier this week, OCHA reported that Israel had denied entry to Gaza for over 40% of the 644 humanitarian missions requested in October.
