Israeli military officials believe that following successful large-scale strikes on Syria, they now have the opportunity to target Iran’s nuclear facilities. This was reported by Israeli Army Radio Galei Tzahal.
According to the report, various military bodies in Israel, including the army, are coordinating with intelligence and defense agencies to present the country’s political leadership with options for action regarding Tehran.
Israeli military assessments suggest that Syria’s once-powerful air defense system has been destroyed by over 80% following Israeli Air Force strikes, according to Galei Tzahal. Syrian air defense systems had previously posed a significant threat to Israeli aviation, but the situation is now changing, with Syria's airspace essentially open to Israeli flights, the station explains.
Earlier, the Israeli military reported conducting massive airstrikes on Syria, claiming to have destroyed over 90% of identified surface-to-air missile stockpiles and a wide range of other weapons, including missiles and aircraft.
