The Israeli military destroyed the residence of the father of Mohammed Deif, the commander of the militant wing of the Islamic movement Hamas, known as the "Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades," in the Gaza Strip. Al Mayadeen TV channel reported this incident.
The Israeli strike resulted in the death of Deif's brother, while other family members were trapped under the debris of the house. There is no information available about whether the leader of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades was in the building at the time of its destruction. Hamas has not provided any updates regarding Deif's condition.
A day earlier, the Israel Defense Forces announced the killing of two high-ranking Hamas members in Gaza, Jawad Abu Shamala and Zakaria Abu Maamr. Shortly after the Israeli military's official statements, Hamas confirmed the deaths of these two commanders.
