The Israeli Air Force attacked populated areas in the Gaza Strip early this morning. Al Mayadeen reported that the strikes targeted 450 ground locations in Gaza City, Jabalia, and Khan Yunis.
Medical sources have reported that the death toll has increased to 51 since midnight, with 281 individuals being transported to hospitals. The neighborhoods of Sheikh Radwan, Karameh, and Khalaf Barakeh, where high-rise buildings are situated, were the most heavily impacted, resulting in the majority of victims and casualties.
UN agencies noted that the extensive bombardment led to a significant increase in the number of refugees leaving Gaza. According to their data, 338,000 people fled from the perilous areas.
The Gaza Strip is one of the most densely populated regions globally, with 2.3 million people residing in an area of just 360 square kilometers. The majority of the inhabitants are refugees living in impoverished conditions.
