Israeli army bombings and artillery strikes have destroyed more than 70% of buildings in Rafah, a city located in the southern Palestinian enclave bordering Egypt. This was reported by the Iranian news agency Tasnim, citing the city's mayor, Ahmed Sufi.
"The occupants [Israeli armed forces] are systematically destroying Rafah and the refugee camps within it. The latest example is the completely demolished Al-Saudi district," said Sufi, according to the agency.
The mayor also emphasized that over 70% of Rafah and its infrastructure have been destroyed due to heavy shelling.
