Israeli Troops Destroy Palestinian Jenin Infrastructure

29 January

Israeli troops invading the Palestinian town of Jenin on the West Bank of the Jordan River have destroyed local infrastructure using heavy military equipment and bulldozers, according to the Lebanese TV channel Al Mayadeen.

The report indicates that Israeli army units are engaged in intense street battles with Palestinian resistance forces in the area.

The situation in the Middle East has escalated sharply following the infiltration of fighters from the  Palestinian movement Hamas from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory on October 7, 2023. In response, Israel declared a complete blockade of Gaza and launched a ground military operation in the enclave. Clashes are also ongoing in the West Bank of Jordan.
