Joint board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation to be held in September 2022

Ministers of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan and Russia Ramazon Rakhimzoda and Vladimir Kolokoltsev will discuss the issues of combating terrorism and transnational crime at a joint departmental board in September 2022. This was reported to reporters by the head of the republic's Interior Ministry on Tuesday.


"This September in Dushanbe a joint board of the Interior Ministry of Tajikistan and Russia will be held," Rakhimzoda informed, adding that all issues on the agenda have been agreed with his Russian counterpart. "The main topics of the meeting will be the fight against terrorism, extremism, transnational crime and drug trafficking, and the effectiveness of joint work in the fight against crime will be analyzed," the minister specified.


The meeting of the joint board of the ministries of internal affairs of Tajikistan and Russia has been held annually since 1999. The head of Tajikistan's interior ministry previously emphasized that the two countries' agencies cooperate closely in the fight against crime, in particular by working to apprehend members of terrorist groups and by systematically exchanging information and experience.
