The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, called on the UN and other international organizations to take action against the US authorities and call them to account for the persecution and murder of innocent people.

"I appeal to international organizations and first of all to the UN: intervene and take effective measures against the official US authorities to prevent the practice of violating human rights and freedoms and extra-judicial executions. Call them to account for their outrages and, in particular, for the persecution and murder of innocent people," the Chechen leader wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to Kadyrov, he watches what is happening in the United States with horror; the world community is outraged by the inaction of the country's authorities.

He demanded the US authorities to "stop this lawlessness" and call to account those responsible for human rights violations.
A wave of protests and riots broke out in the United States after the death of an African-American man, George Floyd, in Minneapolis at the hands of police. Videos surfaced on the Internet showing police officers handcuffing Floyd, knocking him down, and three of them leaning on him, with one of them putting a knee on his neck.

Floyd in the video says several times that he can't breathe, then goes quiet. The man died in intensive care.

Four police officers were fired after the riots began, and one of them was charged with negligent homicide.

A curfew was imposed in several US cities in connection with the protests, while rubber bullets and tear gas injured not only protesters, but also media representatives during the crackdown.
