US President Joe Biden has no right to assess the actions of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, said the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
"Joe Biden <...> trying to get into the role of a noble cowboy, <...> decided to assess Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling him a 'war criminal.' This is a man who has done so much evil against humanity in his lifetime that almost any single act of his would suffice to bring him to the harshest possible trial," Kadyrov wrote in his Telegram channel on Friday.
Kadyrov reminded that it was Biden who had initiated the bombing of Belgrade, and that the incumbent president had supported the US invasion of Iraq.
"There is no more egregious military and economic criminal today among the current leaders of countries than Joe Biden. A typical example of an authoritarian autocrat and an overbearing despot," Kadyrov said. According to the regional leader, "the entire civilized world understands this very well," but "not everyone dares to voice it.
Press secretary of the president Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on Biden's remarks, that they "are in fact personal insults to President Putin. However, the Kremlin will refrain from "making any harsh assessments," given the irritability, fatigue, and forgetfulness of the American leader, which lead to the aggressive statements, the Kremlin spokesman explained.
