Kadyrov: UAE ready to help Russia in the fight against the coronavirus

Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his willingness to support Russia and, in particular, Chechnya in the fight against the coronavirus, the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov announced in his Instagram.


“I had a telephone conversation with my dear older brother, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the UAE, Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan,” the Chechen leader said in particular.


“Dear Sheikh noted that they (in the UAE - ed.) are aware of the difficult situation that Russia has faced in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic. He offered help and asked what our country needs, and, in particular, the Chechen Republic. Sheikh also noted the effectiveness of implemented forced restrictive measures in the Chechen Republic to combat the coronavirus. He expressed hope for a speedy overcoming of the crisis and normalization of the epidemiological situation in the country,” Kadyrov also noted, adding that “the Chechen Republic has been developing and strengthening friendly and mutually beneficial relations with the United Arab Emirates for a long time.”


According to recent data, more than 3.5 million cases of the coronavirus infection have been recorded in the world, more than 243 thousand people died. About 165 thousand cases of the infection were registered in Russia, 1,537 people died, 21 thousand were cured.
