20 March

Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen Republic, paid an official visit to the United Arab Emirates to attend a joint iftar—a traditional meal to break the fast during the holy month of Ramadan. Kadyrov shared details of his visit on his Telegram channel.

The invitation was personally extended by UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Kadyrov expressed his gratitude, referring to the Emirati leader as his “dear elder brother.”

“Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan gave me a very warm and honorable welcome. Every meeting with him is not just a diplomatic event but a joy—an opportunity to communicate with a great leader and a true Muslim,” Kadyrov wrote.

During the visit, the Chechen leader praised the UAE president’s role on the international stage, noting his dedication to his country's prosperity and his commitment to fostering diplomatic relations with other nations. “He is a true example for many. I deeply appreciate his efforts in strengthening ties between our peoples,” Kadyrov stated.
