During the bilateral business forum held in Astana, representatives of Kazakhstan and Afghanistan are set to sign contracts worth almost $106 million, as announced by Deputy Minister of Trade and Integration Kairat Torebayev in a statement to reporters.
Torebayev revealed that preliminary agreements for contracts amounting to $105.8 million have been reached during the forum. The event has seen the participation of over 200 delegates from Afghanistan.
In addition to the contracts, the trade departments of Kazakhstan and Afghanistan have also agreed to sign a memorandum aimed at furthering the development of cooperation between the two nations.
