Kazakhstan and Russia discussed industrial cooperation

Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan Marat Karabayev met with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov during his working trip to Moscow. They discussed cooperation in the industrial sphere. This was reported on Friday by the press service of the ministry of Industry of Kazakhstan.

 

"During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of light industry and production of construction materials, as well as topical issues of staff training for the chemical industry," reads the report.

 

As Karabayev noted, industrial cooperation holds a special place among the areas of cooperation between the two countries. "As of today, 26 joint projects have been successfully implemented and 23 large projects creating more than 7 thousand workplaces are being implemented," he explained.

 

In July 2022, Kazakhstan acted as a partner of Russia at the international industrial exhibition "Innoprom-2022" in Yekaterinburg. As a result, they signed programs of joint actions and 27 bilateral agreements, which are aimed at strengthening cooperation at a new level.

 

"Marat Karabayev noted that this year domestic industrial enterprises will take part in the international exhibition "Innoprom" to be held in Yekaterinburg. In addition, an off-site industrial exhibition "Innoprom - Kazakhstan" with the participation of the head of state, as well as national expositions and expositions of individual companies from the Eurasian Economic Union, Pakistan, Turkey, India, Iran and Azerbaijan are planned to be held in Astana this September," the press service explained.
