Kazakhstan lifts requirement for PCR test for COVID-19 at border crossings as of June 8

Since June 8, the authorities of Kazakhstan have lifted the previous requirement to provide a PCR test for COVID-19 or a vaccination passport at border crossings. This was reported on Tuesday by the press service of the prime minister of the republic following a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on preventing the spread of coronavirus infection in Kazakhstan.


"From June 8 this year, to lift the requirement for citizens of Kazakhstan and foreigners to provide documentary evidence of vaccination or revaccination against COVID-19 (passport / certificate / certificate of vaccination against COVID-19), and in their absence certificates with negative results of tests on COVID-19 by PCR when crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan", the message reads.


In addition, the operation of 12 road checkpoints on the border of Kazakhstan in seven regions of the republic was resumed.


As explained in the interdepartmental commission, these measures were taken in connection with the stabilization of the epidemiological situation in the country and the world.
