Kazakhstan Remains Committed to Development of Integration and Cooperation Within EEU

Leader of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reaffirmed his country's unwavering commitment to the advancement of integration and cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) during a meeting with the heads of government of Russia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan.

 

"As for Kazakhstan, we are fully dedicated to advancing integration and cooperation within the EEU. We view this union as a highly promising integration organization, with tremendous economic potential," he expressed.

 

The president also emphasized that, in Kazakhstan's view, all EEU member countries should steadfastly adhere to the 2015 agreement and actively participate in advancing economic integration.

 

 

Furthermore, Tokayev highlighted the substantial potential for growth in the transit and transportation sector. He stated, "We have recently taken appropriate organizational measures to strengthen efforts in this specific direction."

 

The president also acknowledged the robust interaction among the countries, mentioning that the CIS summit is scheduled for October, and the CSTO summit will be held in Minsk in November.

 

The heads of government from Russia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan arrived in Astana to participate in the Innoprom exhibition, which is being hosted in Kazakhstan for the first time. The event will run from September 25 to 27. According to Anton Atrashkin, the program director of Innoprom, 177 Russian companies, including representatives from large, medium, and small businesses, will participate in the exposition in Astana. The event is expected to draw about 10,000 attendees from 20 countries.
