Kazakhstan sends second batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine

Kazakh authorities on Monday sent a plane with the second batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan.


"On March 28, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a special flight that delivered another batch of humanitarian aid for the citizens of Ukraine from Almaty to the Polish city of Katowice," the report said.


According to the ministry, the cargo with a total weight of 17.5 tons includes necessities - bedding and food. It is planned that on the way back the plane Il-76 of the state airline "Berkut" will also take several dozen citizens of Kazakhstan and their family members who arrived from Ukraine to Poland with the assistance of Kazakh diplomats.


On March 14, Kazakhstan sent the first batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, totalling more than 28 tons. It included 17 items of medicines.
