Citizens of Kazakhstan living in Russia during the upcoming presidential elections in late November will be able to vote at five polling stations. This was reported on Monday by the press service of the country's embassy in Moscow.
"Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who have reached the age of 18 will be able to take part in voting at the embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia, where polling station No. 265 will work," the message said.
In addition, Kazakhstanis can vote at polling stations at the republic's consulates general in St. Petersburg, Kazan, Astrakhan and Omsk.
When visiting a polling station, a passport or ID card of a citizen of Kazakhstan is required. In order to be included in the poll book, one should fill out a special form posted on the website of the embassy.
Early presidential elections in Kazakhstan are scheduled for November 20. By law, candidates are nominated by national public associations. Candidate registration began on September 23 and will last until October 11. Candidate registration will end on October 21, and election campaigning will last until November 18. The election silence day will be on November 19.
