22 August 2023

Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Moscow Dauren Abayev engaged in discussions with Anton Kobyakov, the Advisor to the President of Russia and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF). The conversation revolved around Kazakhstan's involvement in the upcoming VIII Eastern Economic Forum, scheduled to take place from September 10 to 13.

According to the diplomatic mission's press service, Ambassador Dauren Abayev highlighted the opportunities that the Eastern Economic Forum provides for gaining insights into the Far East's regions and the projects being undertaken there. The forum intends to facilitate meetings between the Kazakh delegation, Russian government officials, business circles and international guests.

The discussion also encompassed the broader cooperation between Moscow and Astana at other impending international events, including the Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia.

The forthcoming Eastern Economic Forum, themed "Towards Cooperation, Peace and Prosperity," is slated to take place in Vladivostok. The agenda for the event centers on collaboration with allied nations, Russian product exports to friendly markets, integration of payment systems, investment competition and human capital.

Additionally, the next Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan is set to convene in Kostanai during the fall of 2023.
