Kazakhstan's President Tokayev: Kazakhstan Will Continue Cooperation with Russia and China in Transportation Sector

President of Kazakhstan  Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has affirmed that Kazakhstan will continue its cooperation with Russia and China in the transportation sector.


"In our top priorities, we have several significant railway projects that need to be executed. These include Dostyk-Moyynty, Bakhty - Ayagoz, Darbaza - Maktaaral, and the Almaty bypass line. In the transportation sector, Kazakhstan will maintain its collaboration with both Russia and China," stated Tokayev in his address to the people of Kazakhstan.

 

He emphasized the strategic significance of fully realizing their transport and logistics potential, stating, "We are witnessing the formation of a new economic geography of the world. Rapid growth of trade flows from China to Europe, Russia, Central Asia and back is predicted. Kazakhstan is at the crossroads of routes linking the global North and South, West and East." President Tokayev stressed that this represents a significant advantage, opening up vast opportunities. He pointed out, "The transportation and logistics industry should become one of the driving forces of our country's economic development. In the face of intense competition, we will need to swiftly address the industry's key challenges."
