Kazan to Host Third Interregional Forum Between Uzbekistan and Russia

The third forum of interregional cooperation is scheduled to take place in Kazan on October 4, as announced by the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Uzbekistan.

 

"The third forum of interregional cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia is scheduled for October 4 in Kazan," announced the press service.

 

The forum aims to facilitate the practical collaboration between entrepreneurs and business communities across both countries. The scheduled program includes a meeting of the Uzbek-Russian Business Council and an exhibition titled "Russia and Uzbekistan: New Opportunities for Development." Forum participants will discuss the expansion of bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including transport and logistics, industry, and tourism.

 

Russia currently holds the position of the largest investor in Uzbekistan's economy, with investments exceeding $10 billion. Moreover, Russia stands as Uzbekistan's second-largest foreign trade partner. In 2023, the bilateral trade turnover between the two nations experienced an 8.8% increase, reaching $4.413 billion compared to the previous year.
