In Tatarstan, the market size for halal products and services has reached 7 billion rubles per year. The First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Nikolay Titov has announced about it within the framework of the XI International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit 2019".
“The Halal products market in the Republic is relatively young, and its share so far accounts for about 7 billion rubles per year, that is 3.2% of small agricultural products. At the same time, it is reclaimed and grows annually by 10–15%”, Deputy Minister noted, in particular.
According to him, in Tatarstan the halal market is mainly formed by food: chicken eggs, poultry, sausages, bakery and confectionery products, honey, etc.
