The confidence of the Islamic world in Russian business is still low, but the Heads of Muslim regions of the country can solve this problem. In the framework of an interview for TASS of the Russia-Islamic World: KazanSummit 2019 international economic summit, this was stated by leading researcher at the HSE-Skolkovo Institute of Law and Development of the HSE Kirill Molodyko.
“Unfortunately, there were enough stories when in the 90s some unscrupulous Russian businessmen “betrayed” Islamic partners. I can’t say that now the level of trust in Russian counterparties in the Islamic world is high - it’s not high”, he claimed, in particular.
According to Molodyko, the problem of low trust from Islamic counterparties can be solved by "personal guarantees of the leaders of the Russian Islamic republicswho are trusted in the Muslim world”.
“There is personal trust in some Russian leaders of Islamic republics”, the expert emphasized.
