Kosachev: Any Agreements on Ukraine Will Be Implemented on Russia’s Terms

12 March

Ukraine agrees to whatever the US tells them, “bowing and fawning,” but any agreements will be implemented on Russia's terms. This opinion on the results of US-Ukrainian negotiations in Jeddah was expressed by Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev.

“The conditions are American, not Ukrainian. The Ukrainians agree to whatever they are told. And they bow and fawn—just consider their phrase: 'We will sign the agreement on resources when it is convenient for Washington,'” he wrote in his Telegram channel. “Russia is advancing, and therefore, things will be different with Russia. Any agreements (while fully understanding the need for compromises) will be on our terms, not American ones. This is not wishful thinking but an understanding that real agreements are still being written there, on the front lines. And that is something Washington should understand.”

The deputy speaker of the Federation Council emphasized that Vladimir Zelensky is “hunkering down”

According to Kosachev, “the most important thing is not to interfere with Russian-American negotiations with outside comments” and “to let the negotiators do their work.”

On Tuesday, US-Ukrainian negotiations took place in Jeddah, after which a joint statement was published. It stated that the parties had agreed to soon conclude a comprehensive agreement on the development of critical mineral resources. The Kiev regime confirmed its readiness to accept Washington’s proposal for a 30-day ceasefire in the conflict with Russia. In turn, the US committed to immediately resuming intelligence-sharing and support for Ukraine.
