Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Konstantin Kosachev believes that after the terrorist attack in Vienna it is important to determine a consolidated position of spiritual leaders of countries and faiths on terrorism.

According to Kosachev, there are two options for action to prevent such crimes. The first is the cooperation of antiterrorist special services. Russia, he said, is ready to cooperate with any special services to counter the common threat of terrorism. The second measure is the consolidation of the clergy, Kosachev noted. "The consolidated position <...> of spiritual leaders of all countries, confessions is important", he said on Tuesday to "Russia-24".

Kosachev added that the higher the degree of cooperation between the countries of the world, the higher the probability that such terrorist acts will not be repeated. "It is important that political differences do not extend to such cooperation," he stressed.
