Russian Kremlin: accusations against Russia from Muller’s report are unfounded

25 March 2019

Accusations against Russia about interfering in the US elections from the report of the US Special Prosecutor Robert Muller are untenable and groundless. About this in an interview with journalists, the official representative of the Moscow Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov said.

«We haven’t seen the report itself. Almost no one saw him, so we can’t comment on anything in detail. We’ve seen a kind of squeeze, a kind of resume, which, however, doesn’t say anything new, except for the recognition of the absence of some sort of collusion. Our principal position on this case and on the accusations addressed to Russia is well known to Washington. Our country didn’t interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, including the United States, including electoral processes. It also doesn’t interfere categorically against the interference of other countries in our internal affairs», Peskov, in particular, noted.

We recall the main Muller’s conclusions on the basis of "the Russian investigation» were published in the United States the day before. The report notes that Russia intervened in the 2016 American election, however, neither the President Trump, nor his team conspired with Russia.
