Kuwait Thwarts ISIS-Planned Terrorist Attack Targeting Shiites

Law enforcement officers from Kuwait's Interior Ministry successfully prevented a terrorist attack planned by supporters of the "Islamic State" (IS, banned in Russia) within the country, specifically targeting local Shiites.

 

According to the statement published on X, the security forces were able to thwart the plans of a terrorist cell intending to attack Shiite religious sites. In the course of the operation, three militants associated with ISIS were apprehended.

 

The case is currently under investigation by the prosecutor's office.
