Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Anna Kuznetsova said she has received appeals to help repatriate children from Syria from citizens of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, where there is no work on the return of minors from armed conflict zones.

"We receive appeals from Azerbaijan, there are several [appeals] from Kyrgyzstan, where they say that their relatives are there [in Syria]," Kuznetsova said, answering a related question.

In the summer of 2017, Russia began systematic work to locate and return to their homeland underage Russian citizens who are in Iraq and Syria. The work is carried out by order of the President of the Russian Federation. During this time, 341 children were returned to their homeland from Iraq and Syria.
