Kyrgyz President Commends Unprecedented Level of Cooperation with Azerbaijan

The collaboration between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan has recently attained a significant level, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov during talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.

 

"President Sadyr Zhaparov expressed satisfaction, noting that interstate relations have reached an unprecedented level in recent years," as reported by the press service of the Kyrgyz president.

 

According to Zhaparov, the dynamic "strengthening and expansion of ties at the highest level" has resulted in active collaboration between the parliaments, governments, and various departments of the two states.

 

The parties have notably instituted an interstate council at the level of heads of state, conducting its inaugural meeting. Several agreements between the parties have seen practical advancements. Additionally, the establishment of the Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz Development Fund has taken place. "In this context, Zhaparov proposed that relevant competent bodies expedite the practical initiation of the fund's activities and commence the implementation of mutually beneficial projects," highlighted the press service.

 

In response, Aliyev affirmed that the evident momentum in bilateral relations underscores the close affinity between the peoples of the two states. He reassured that Bishkek and Baku are actively addressing matters related to augmenting trade turnover and refining investment policies. "In conclusion, the leaders of the countries reiterated their mutual commitment to strengthening and advancing the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan," emphasized the report.

 

Zhaparov arrived in Baku to take part in the summit of the UN Program for the Economies of Central Asia scheduled for November 24.
