Kyrgyz President discusses situation in Kazakhstan with leaders of Russia, Armenia and Kazakhstan

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov has discussed the current situation in Kazakhstan with the Kazakh president as well as with the leaders of Russia and Armenia. This was reported on Thursday by the press service of the head of the Kyrgyz state.


"The president held a number of telephone conversations with the leaders of the CSTO member states. The head of state had telephone conversations with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia, as well as President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation. The leaders of the countries discussed the current situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan," the report reads.


According to the press service, Zhaparov expressed concern over "information coming from the neighboring country about human casualties, numerous cases of looting and pogroms, and other acts of violence."


"The sides discussed a common position on ensuring security in accordance with the CSTO charter on responding to crisis situations," the statement stressed.
