Kyrgyz president intends to work to improve the international image of the republic

In the nearest future, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov intends to improve considerably the image of the country in the international arena. He made this statement on Thursday in Bishkek at the festive celebrations to mark the 30th anniversary of the state flag of the republic.


"I am determined to lead young people who live with the idea of glorifying their native country far beyond its borders by developing the potential of various industries and contributing to the progressive movement of its economy. I, too, want to see a developed Kyrgyzstan, and I will do everything in my power to do so. I am also ready to improve Kyrgyzstan's image before the international community and to fly my country's flag high," he said.


According to him, the national flag of Kyrgyzstan is "an inviolable symbol of the state."


"When the Kyrgyz flag hovers high in the sky, it evokes an even greater surge of patriotic feelings, filial pride and love for our native land. This red flag has been carried by our ancestors through the centuries of history, and we must protect and enhance this great heritage, which is still an expression of unity and cohesion," Zhaparov continued.


He also called on his countrymen to respect the law on the state flag, which was adopted 30 years ago, and to help implement it in every way possible.


On National Flag Day, a military parade took place on March 3 in the Kyrgyz capital's central Ala-Too Square. Streets adjacent to the square were closed in connection with the holiday.
