President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov is set to make a state visit to Azerbaijan on April 24-25. This was announced in Bishkek by Muratbek Azymbakiyev, the Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Executive Office.
"President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov will pay a state visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan on April 24-25," he stated.
During the visit, Zhaparov will hold "bilateral talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev."
The heads of state will discuss "topical issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation," as well as the prospects for "further development and building effective cooperation."
Also planned within Zhaparov's visit is the second meeting of the Interstate Council, which will result in the signing of a joint declaration of the presidents and several agreements aimed at "deepening cooperation in trade, economics, and cultural-humanitarian spheres."
"The heads of state will also participate in the ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the construction of a secondary school in the village of Khydyrly," added Azymbakiyev.
